Dr. Hosseini Aliabad: Thank you, Dr. Molk Ara, for taking the time to speak with us. We would like to discuss social entrepreneurship with you. If you are ready, let’s start with our questions.

Dr.MolkAra: Hello, and thank you for providing this opportunity. Yes, of course, please go ahead.

Dr. Hosseini Aliabad: Could you please explain what social entrepreneurship is and how it differs from traditional entrepreneurship?

Dr.Molk Ara: Social entrepreneurship aims to solve social and environmental problems through business models. The main difference from traditional entrepreneurship is that the primary goal is not profit generation but rather focusing on creating positive social changes and improving individuals’ quality of life. In this model, success is measured by the social and environmental impacts achieved.

Dr. Hosseini Aliabad: What motivated you to pursue social entrepreneurship?

Dr.MolkAra: From the beginning, I have been attentive to social issues and economic inequalities. During my studies and previous work experiences, I realized that business models could be utilized to address social problems and make a positive impact. This motivation and desire to change the existing situation led me towards social entrepreneurship.

Dr. Hosseini Aliabad: What issue does your social project or business address, and how does it work towards solving it?

Dr.Molk Ara: My project focuses on empowering women in underprivileged areas. We provide training workshops and job opportunities for women, teaching them the necessary skills to earn income and achieve financial independence. Additionally, we assist them in starting their own businesses by providing financial resources and consultancy.

Dr. Hosseini Aliabad: What challenges have you faced in establishing and managing your social enterprise?

Dr.Molk Ara: One of the biggest challenges is securing funding and attracting investment for social projects. Sometimes, the implementation of programs becomes difficult due to a lack of awareness or resistance from the local community. Managing expectations and coordinating with various stakeholders also presents additional challenges.

Dr. Hosseini Aliabad: What skills do you consider essential for success in social entrepreneurship?

Dr.Molk Ara: Key skills include project management abilities, strong communication skills, and problem-solving capabilities. Additionally, having a positive attitude and the ability to work with diverse groups is important. The ability to attract and manage financial resources, as well as an awareness of social and environmental issues, are also essential skills.

Dr. Hosseini Aliabad: How do you measure your successes?

Dr.MolkAra: We measure success by evaluating the social impacts of our projects. This includes assessing the extent of positive changes in individuals’ lives, analyzing collected data, and receiving feedback from the target community. We also establish both qualitative and quantitative metrics to gauge progress and achievement of goals.

Dr. Hosseini Aliabad: Do you find collaboration with other organizations or institutions beneficial, and why?
Dr.MolkAra: Yes, collaboration with other organizations and institutions is very beneficial. These partnerships can provide financial resources, experiences, and new networks that contribute to the success of social projects. Furthermore, sharing knowledge and experiences enhances the effectiveness and impact of programs.

Dr. Hosseini Aliabad: Do you have any advice for those looking to enter the field of social entrepreneurship?

Dr.Molk Ara: Yes, I recommend conducting thorough research before starting and consulting with various stakeholders. It’s also advisable to start with a small project and gradually expand it. It’s important to pay attention to social impacts and community needs while being flexible in facing challenges.
